A Beef Jerky Connoisseur
I’m Jim, a true beef jerky connoisseur and enthusiast. I grew up with a bag of Beef Jerky around me at all times. By the time I was in my early 20’s I had started making small batch, gourmet style beef jerky for my friends and family. Everyone loved it, and keep in mind this is back in the day when the local convenience store carried only one brand of jerky if you were lucky. In my case it was the local Cumberland Farms and it always had the brand Pemmican Peppered Jerky. Anyway, you get the point. To this very day I still always have a bag (or two) of jerky lying around. It’s my “go to” snack.
I’m also a Website Developer
I’ve also spent many years developing websites. I learned my skills way back in the 1990’s when I started building websites related to the telecom industry. Does anyone remember DSL and dial-up internet? Yup I knew that world too all too well, but the telecom industry is boring. Beef Jerky on the other hand is fun, so I’ve decided to combine the two.
A Single Destination for Beef Jerky
So I’m taking my passion for all things beef jerky and my skill set as a web developer, I’ve decided to combine the two and start the website BeefJerky.Rocks! My thoughts at this point is to have a website that provides beef jerky reviews, recipes, a directory, a forum and maybe even a storefront for equipment. We’ll see how it goes.
Stay Humble – Donate to the Troops
All this beef jerky and website stuff is great, but when it come right down to it, I do it for fun. That’s why every year for the holidays I try to round-up some bags of jerky that we can send to the soldiers serving overseas. If they can’t be home for Christmas then maybe I can send a little bit of Christmas to them. So far to date I have donated over 300 bags of beef jerky to the troops. It’s the least I can do. Won’t you join me? Send me an e-mail and ask how you can help.
One Last Note
Please help support BeefJerky.Rocks! by sharing on social media and by signing up for the newsletter. The more followers and people who come to the website, the more beef jerky I’ll be able to raise for the donation.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you come back often.
